This policy explains what Cake Development Corporation ("CakeDC", "we", "us") collects when you visit cakedc.com or use our forms, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

Information we collect

When you submit a contact, quote, upgrade, code review, or job application form, we collect what you type into it — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and message. Some forms also record which page or campaign you came from, so we can tell which of our services you're interested in.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if you give it) to send you updates.

Like most sites, we also collect some technical information automatically: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how you found the site. See "Cookies and analytics" below for how you can control this.

How we use it

We use the information above to: respond to your enquiry or quote request; deliver the service you asked for; send the newsletter, if you opted in; and understand how people use the site so we can improve it. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties except the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf.

Cookies and analytics

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing). A small number of strictly necessary cookies — for your session and for security (CSRF protection) — are set regardless, since the site can't function without them. If you reject or ignore the banner, analytics and advertising cookies stay off by default until you actively accept them.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies/site data for cakedc.com, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

Third-party services we use

Depending on your cookie choices, the following services may run on this site:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures site usage (pages viewed, traffic sources). Only runs if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Google Tag Manager — loads the tags below in a managed way; doesn't itself set tracking cookies.
  • Google Ads — measures ad performance for our own campaigns. Only runs if you accept marketing cookies.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures ad performance for our own Facebook/Instagram campaigns. Only loads if you accept marketing cookies.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from spam and abuse. Runs on every page that has a form, regardless of cookie choices, since it's needed for the form to work securely.
  • Brevo — the email service we use to send you a reply and, if you opted in, our newsletter.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and enquiry records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain our own business records, and newsletter addresses for as long as you stay subscribed. You can ask us to delete either at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time (every newsletter email also has an unsubscribe link). To make any of these requests, email [email protected].

Children's privacy

cakedc.com is a business-to-business site aimed at software teams and companies. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy
